My project has been centered around my passion for inspiring others to reconnect to their human biology through food. To iterate my outline, my goal is to create change in my community through spreading awareness of composting and growing your own food to benefit yourself. The more I research the more studies I find about the vast results of food production in relation to overall well-being. In my leisure time, I like to watch various shows and documentaries; and while scrolling I found Down to Earth and Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones on Netflix. Both of these shows talk about the importance of food production and how it contributes to healthier lives and healthier lifestyles. The more I watched, the more inspired I was to take those lifestyles and try to implement them in my community. 

With the help of my fellow KFF scholar (Cassie), who gave me the contact to a leading compost specialist, I was able to network and shadow her profession. With hands-on experience, I am now able to teach others how to properly cultivate their own food, and understand the principles behind it. BUT promoting it is the hardest part (I'm still struggling).

Apart from the networking done with the lead specialist, I had to network in my school, after getting shut down multiple times I found myself in a rut and unmotivated. I pursued further and combined with my teacher to create a plan to teach local schools, which I am now doing.

Overall, I'm happy with my effort to network and the perseverance I had to continue with my project. It's hard to balance my time at school with the project but I'm happy that I'm capable of continuing.
