Places of Change

Juliette's Place

I took my picture in the Medicinal Garden located by the Nova undergraduate science building.

This area was interesting to me, because it’s a great space for students or even people like myself, that are visiting the campus temporarily, to enjoy nature in a calm closed-off environment. There are a few tables and benches surrounded by trees and flowers that you can sit by and enjoy with yourself, or with company.

I feel like the Medicinal Garden represents change because it offers an alternative area for students to spend time and wind down.

It’s holistic and grounding which is contrary to “common areas” or “study rooms” found inside buildings. This can lead to more influential ideas for the community to use nature in a productive way.
