About Eleasha A.

Who is Eleasha?

Bonjour to all! My name is Eleasha A. and I am a rising senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

To my friends and family, I am considered caring, open-minded, and persistent. I would describe myself as more introverted than extroverted, even though I love being around new people and getting to know them. I take great pride in my Haitian heritage (hence, my salute to you all!).

I have always wanted the opportunity to showcase all features of African American and Caribbean cultures as well as how they can unite us all. In my thought bubble, I drew out multiple images, such as an equal sign, a fist, and musical notes. To elaborate further, I am very passionate about having complete equality for everyone and anyone, whether they may be a part of a certain demographic or treated at an unjustified level. As per my fist bump, “stands as a symbol of resistance and defiance,” a powerful message rallied by the Black community in the year of 2020 and centuries before (ShearCreativity). Moreover, to my music symbol, I believe that music can lead to equality or common ground. In this case, it shows that no matter what genre you like, whether it is country, rhythm and blues, rap, or simply classical, we are all one in the same. I would like to remain as authentic as possible in my profile. I look forward to spreading my ideas and working with numerous people to ensure change for all.
