Places of Change

Meilia's Place

I took this photo in the Black Box Theatre.

In this photo, Beethoven is sitting in the audience watching his peers perform. He is in awe of the fact that they have so much confidence to go up on stage in front of countless people. Though he doesn't like mentioning it, Beethoven is very shy but aspires to go outside his comfort zone and become more expressive. Seeing as I've performed on stage multiple times, I decided to help him out. I took Beethoven to the Black Box Theatre and showed him how cozy of a place it is and how it provides a safe space for everyone.  When you first walk into the theatre, you may have preconceptions about what people do in there.

It seems like just a small theatre where nobody wants to hang out. This may be true for some, but for Beethoven and me, it's the opposite. We discovered together that the Black Box Theatre helps even the shyest people learn to become extroverts. This inspired Beethoven to become a performer and he is enthusiastic to put on his first show.
